How does this work?

We find people who have unused parking spaces and match them with drivers looking for parking where it's not easily available or where public parking is too expensive.

If you're a driver, search through our map to find a parking spot that suits you. Pay online and park your car. When you're ready to leave, checkout of the parking spot through our website or mobile app and you're done!

If you own an unused parking spot, list your address with us! You set the price you want to charge drivers and we'll send you your earnings via ACH or a mailed check when someone rents your space.

What is instant parking?

Instant parking is a parking where driver can book the spot directly on our website and there are no restrictions to book your parking space.

Driver can book, pay, and park on the parking spot without interaction with the spot owner.

For spot owners

If you have opt for instant parking, drivers will be able to automatically book your parking spot.
The benefits of instant parking are:

  • Convenient for both spot owners and drivers. Easy parking for drivers without having the hassle for responding to any email/phone request.

  • Attract more drivers, less hassle.

For drivers

What is non-instant parking?

Non-instant parking is a parking where driver needs to contact spot owner via phone and/or email and cordinate with each other on where to park the vehicle.

Once the spot is booked, you and spot owner both will receive an email about the booking and can see the upcomming booking/renting information on your dashboard as well.

How do I know whether the spot is instant or non-instant?

If you see a yellow star with "Instant" text inside it on spot detail page, you are seeing an instant parking spot.
If not, it is an non-instant spot.

Why should I use Parking For Me?

Our goal is to help you save time and money by finding an easy place to park at a price cheaper than public parking. We have a secure and trusted checkout system that lets you pay online with any major credit card and we handle paying the parking spot owner for a fast and seamless parking experience.

What are the parking rates?

All parking rates are posted by the parking spot owner. We help guide owners in posting rates that are appropriate for the area and generally cheaper than what you can find with public parking. We charge 6% to 12% service fee and a 2.9% + .30ยข credit card transaction fee.

If you choose an hourly parking rate, you will only be charged for the amount of time actually parked. For example, if you only park for 30 minutes, you will be charged based on half the hourly rate. If you choose a daily, weekly, or monthly rate, you will be charged for the full rental period.

How do I pay for renting a space?

You may pay for any available parking spots through our website or mobile application. We accept all major credit cards.

Can I contact the parking spot owner when I park my vehicle?

In order to preserve the privacy of both drivers and parking spot owners, we do not display any personal information to either party. If any problems arise during the parking process, please notify support and we will contact both parties in order to resolve any issues.

What do I do when I've rented a space?

When you have booked a spot, we will send you an email with all the information necessary in order to park. Please follow the directions provided by the parking spot owner to find and park at your allocated spot. Once you are done, hit 'Checkout' from the website or mobile app and remove your car from the parking spot. You will be emailed a finalized receipt of your reservation.

What if I have an issue with the spot that I rented and paid for?

You are able to cancel your reservation for a full refund within the first 5 minutes of renting a spot. If an issue arises after the first 5 minutes, please contact support and we'd be glad to help you resolve any inconveniences.

Can I extend my stay?

Yes, you can continue your reservation by repurchasing another reservation when your current reservation is completed as long as there are no restrictions posted by the parking spot owner. If you have any questions or would like to purchase a custom reservation, please contact support and we'd be happy to help.

How do I end my reservation and what happens if I can't move my car in the alloted time?

To end your reservation, navigate to the bookings page on our website or mobile app. Hit the 'Checkout' button when you are ready to leave and remove your car from the parking spot.

If for some reason you are not able to move your car by the end of your alloted reservation, please notify support as soon as possible. Any unauthorized cars may be towed at the driver's expense and at the discretion of the parking spot owner.

Will there be a rating and feedback system for parking spots?

Yes! We will be releasing our review and feedback system soon.

Are there any discounts or promotions going on?

Yes! Enter promo code 'PFM10' during checkout to receive $10 off your first reservation. We also have a referral program where if you invite your friends to Parking for Me, they will receive $10 off their first order and you will receive $10 in credit for each friend that completes their first booking.*

Additionally, if your referral lists their first parking spot, we'll send you an additional 3% of their revenues for 6 months!

Parking Spot Owners:

How do I rent my parking spot?

Once you have registered an account with Parking For Me, navigate to the 'Parking Spots' page. Click on 'Add New Address' and follow the instructions to enter your parking spot information. Once you have submitted your address, a PFM staff member will either approve your listing or contact you if any additional information is required. Once your spot is listed, it will be available for renting.

How do I get parking spot access information to a driver?

When you list your space, enter detailed instructions in the 'Private Messages' field. These instructions will only be shown to drivers that have rented your spot.

What parking rate options do I have when listing my spot?

You can choose rates for hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly parking.

How much does Parking For Me charge for listing my spot?

Nothing! Listing and renting your spot are completely free. The rates that you choose to charge for your parking spot are the amounts you will receive when someone books your space. We add a flat service fee and transaction fee on top of that, which the driver pays.

How do I know how much I should charge for my spot?

Take a look at prices on our parking map of parking spots near you in order to get a sense of how much other parking spot owners are charging. We also suggest looking at public parking around you and choosing rates that are competitively lower. Feel free to contact us at info@parkingforme.com for recommendations as well.

When do I receive my payments and how do I get paid?

You can request an ACH transfer or a check sent to you via mail whenever you have a fulfilled rental.

If you reside within the United States, contact us about being a Parking For Me sub-merchant! You'll receive your booking payments faster and a shiny icon on your listing.

How do I attract more bookings?

One way to attract more views and bookings is to add detailed pictures of your address and allocated parking spots. Also, make sure your parking spot rates are competitive to other Parking For Me addresses as well as nearby public parking.

Do I need to be at home during a booking?

No! As long as you provide detailed instructions on how to access your parking spot, you do not need to be at home when a driver rents your space. However, if you require a safety deposit or a garage door opener is required to access your space, you will need to meet with the driver in order to exchange those items.
